I enjoyed the story about you and your dad in the bakery, Ande.
A friend of mine saw some men at a homeless camp and asked one of them if he’d like a job doing handyman work at her house. He did, and she eventually gave him room and board for all the repair work he did for her. As a single woman, she was networking and hoping to meet a partner when one day she said to hersef, “Wait a minute! I have the perfect man for me, and he’s living right in my house!” They became romantically involved and have been together some years now. The previously homeless man has a steady job and supports my friend so that she can pursue all sorts of interests and hobbies.
She’s a perfect example of someone who realized that they already had what they wanted, and all it took was seeing the man in a new way.

Last year I really wanted some closed lillies (Flowers). I visualised them, thanked the universe for them and saw them everywhere but in my possession.
A few months later we were putting out the Christmas decorations, when we came upon a bag of decorations that my grandma had given me earlier in the year. There at the bottom of the bag under all the Santas and tinsle was a white china vase filled with silk closed lillies.
All that time they had been sitting there in my cupboard waiting to be found…

Great video Ande – and I’m looking forward to seeing all the examples – I love seeing these in action! Well, my story is that I was asking for more money, and looking at my bank account I wasn’t getting any more money. BUT when I looked at how much I was getting for my money, I was able to get more stuff, have more experiences, pay my bills more easily…all the stuff I wanted more money for! My money just seems to go much further these days! xx

Ande,
This was fabulous. I was just thinking last night now lucky I was that I have basically everything I ever wanted. So true – when let go of the specifics of how something should look we may just see through fresh eyes we already do have everything!

Thanks, Donna. What a great story about money!!! It’s a great example of the essence of what we want. It’s not the money that is important–it’s what we can get with it, and you got the essence of that!! Thanks for sharing that!

Thanks, Angela!! What a wonderful awareness you had–that you have what you want. This means it will expand and you’ll get even more!

Because I have had a brain injury which basically made me forget many things I owned, I have spent the last four years delighting at all the stuff I find that I want, and, come to find out, I already have…luggage with wheels, a full length rain coat, a humidifier, etc…
As I understand it, the LOA tells you to be very specific when making requests. I think, this leads to desire disguise. Do you? When are being so specific, one may not realize that they already have something that meets the need. Because of this, I prefer just to make very general requests.

Tim can relate to what you’re saying about your discoveries, Debbie. He’s had the same delight!
Yes, I agree that specifics can hang us up. I think that if the specifics are fun to think about, then have at it. But if you think you have to lay it out in great detail and you get all hung up on it being exactly that way, it holds you back. So I agree that the general intentions are the best ones!
