If you’re new to the Find Your #Coregreen UPrising, you’ll want to read my post about Why Green Is A Good Color For You.

Here’s this week’s CIS:

What are you proud of about yourself?  How can that help you get what you want?

And here’s my take on it so you can see an example of how to use the seed to grow your #coregreen.

My Green

Before I share my answer to this week’s CIS, let’s get clear on our terms.

Pride has many definitions, some positive and some negative.  Obviously, when I ask what you’re proud of, I’m talking about the positive definition of pride:

Pride is a sense of one’s own value.  It’s self-respect and pleasure or satisfaction taken in an achievement, possession, or association.

What I’m Proud Of

So the way I’m going to share my “green” for this week’s CIS is to share with you a list I made awhile back that I titled, “Celebrating Ande.”  I made this list when I realized I was getting down on myself because I was focusing much more on what was “wrong” with me than on what was “right.”

The process of making the list was a big pick-me-up, and I highly recommend it.  Here’s my list.  I hope it inspires you to make one of your own:

  • I’m loving.
  • I’m a thoughtful, caring wife.
  • I’m an awesome dog mom.
  • I’m great with animals in general.
  • I’m a good writer.
  • I have an open mind.
  • I’m always seeking more knowledge.
  • I’m creative.
  • I’m fun.
  • I have a great sense of humor.

  • I have worked with judges on the state appellate court.
  • I’m a good cook.
  • I keep a clean and organized house.
  • I’m honest.
  • I’m law abiding (unless you count some of Ducky’s off leash walks and an occasional heavy foot while driving).
  • I’ve had three books published.
  • I’ve taught myself TONS of stuff about blogging and internet marketing.
  • I’m a confident public speaker.
  • I’m playful.
  • I’m good at doing nothing.
  • I appreciate rain.
  • I complain very, very little.
  • I’m getting more aligned everyday.
  • I’ve written a gazillion words worth of novels, nonfiction books, essays, stories, newspaper columns, poetry, song lyrics, and website copy.
  • I’m a good friend.
  • I’m articulate.
  • I have a massive amount of knowledge about self improvement, healing, energy, and writing, and law of attraction.

  • I write really fast.
  • I’m a good singer.
  • I’m very efficient.
  • I get most things done quite quickly.

  • I’ve learned to accept myself at a large weight.
  • I’m observant.
  • I’m accepting of others.
  • I have childlike eagerness.
  • I’m an excellent gift-giver.
  • I’m a good listener.
  • I take great photographs.
  • I am kind to stuffed animals.
  • I inspire people.
  • I have healed depression.
  • I am determined.
  • I am persistent.
  • I have overcome a lot of splats.

(Note:  This list isn’t totally complete—some of the items on the list seemed a bit too personal to share. icon wink Coregreen Inspiration Seed #7: The Positive Aspects of Pride )

How These Qualities Help Me

First, just knowing what pleases me about myself helps me tremendously. One of the best vibrational places to be in is one of self love.  Any time you’re not recognizing your value, any time you’re diminishing yourself in any way, you’re out of alignment, which means you’re not attracting into your life the things you desire.

Second, every one of the items on my list helps me make connections with the people in my life with whom I’m close and with the people I meet through this and my other blog.  The qualities and achievements on my list also help me in my writing.

The more I reference and add to this list, the less inclined I am to run out and buy the next improvement product.  Yes, I do need expert advice from time to time, but I’ve come to realize that my own advice is what I need more often than not.

Inventorying what you’re proud of can often help keep you on the path to creating what you desire in your life.

So now it’s your turn.  If you’re a blogger and would like to post about this week’s CIS, fill out the Find Your #Coregreen Commitment form to get a link to your blog, and go start telling the world, via your blog and tweets, about your #coregreen.

Even if you don’t want to post about the CIS, I’d love it if you could show your spiritual support of the uprising and your commitment to being your own “sustainable resource” by filling out the commitment form.  It obligates you to NOTHING AT ALL.  icon smile Coregreen Inspiration Seed #7: The Positive Aspects of Pride
